Was your childhood affected by alcohol? This amazing & thought-provoking TV ad just won the 2nd price at the Best of the Year gala of Grafia, Association of Professional Graphic Designers in Finland.
Directed by the talented Teemu Niukkanen of Kennel Helsinki.

Haluan koristella blogejani kuvilla.
Niko recommends the fabulous http://sxc.hu stock image bank, which is both fantastic and disappointing at the same time. After using their service for years (maybe 5?), I really don’t want to complain - they have loads of photos and most of them are of reasonable quality. Of course some are brilliant, some are crap, but the average photo is ok.
I’ve also been an avid Flickr user from almost since they opened in 2004, so when I grow bored of the business cliches and Christmassy graphics, that’s where I’ll look next. In fact, recently I’ve started looking into Flickr first, because their brilliant advanced search is so much more powerful than stock.xchng’s fairly primitive affair. Of course, not all the images in Flickr are fair game, but the advanced search allows you to only search for CC-licenced images that allow commercial use. Oh so very useful!
Big up for all the super-creative sweethearts that are willing to share the beautiful fruits of their talent. I love you guys! Thank you.
PS. Most of the CC-licenced images only require that you attribute the author, but it’s always good to check the CC-licence before pubilshing anyone else’s work.
The exciting feeling of stumbling across a long-lost friend online has almost disappeared. Have I found everyone already, or has having an online presence just become the norm? Online stalking is not half as much fun as it used to be.
